The bullying of academics follows a pattern of horrendous, Orwellian elimination rituals, often hidden from the public. Despite the anti-bullying policies (often token), bullying is rife across campuses, and the victims (targets) often pay a heavy price.

In an investigation into a case of racism, the investigating committee completely failed to report the distress and illness of the complainant but made sure to refer to the distress of the racist, which was brought on by the investigation.
The complainant decided to leave this university well before the end of his contract.
