The bullying of academics follows a pattern of horrendous, Orwellian elimination rituals, often hidden from the public. Despite the anti-bullying policies (often token), bullying is rife across campuses, and the victims (targets) often pay a heavy price.

Watchfull eyes...

Has anyone heard of a probationary period that lasted 15 months, just because one challenged the manager's lies? With the full support of the human resources and under the watchfull eyes of UCU local representative.
Has anyone heard of a research manager who conceals in-house data from a foreign researcher but gives the same data to a European researcher, then claims that the foreign researcher is underperforming????
Has anyone heard of a manager who claims that all proposals made by a foreign researcher have already been made (and sent out for publication!!!) by a European researcher only to prevent the foreign researcher from working on cutting-edge technology and to give the European researcher a headstart?
For the record, this foreign researcher has been kept under probation indefinitely.
Id this a child' imagination? no it is the Welsh sense of justice.
