The bullying of academics follows a pattern of horrendous, Orwellian elimination rituals, often hidden from the public. Despite the anti-bullying policies (often token), bullying is rife across campuses, and the victims (targets) often pay a heavy price.

If you are thinking of taking out a grievance for alleged workplace bullying...
know that they will lie and lie and lie to you
... and to anyone else who will listen to them
know that they will manipulate the process for their own ends
know that decent colleagues will watch from the shadows as you convulse with pain
in silence
know that your family will want to distance themselves from you as they can't bear your pain
know that there will be levels of hypocrisy that make you speechless with anger and pain
know that you will be probably not win
know this...
and if you dare
...take action...
challenge workplace bullying where ever it happens
