The bullying of academics follows a pattern of horrendous, Orwellian elimination rituals, often hidden from the public. Despite the anti-bullying policies (often token), bullying is rife across campuses, and the victims (targets) often pay a heavy price. "Nothing strengthens authority as much as silence." Leonardo da Vinci - "All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men [or good women] do nothing." -- Edmund Burke

This may be cathartic but....
I work in a university where I have been a target of wpb for many many years... I have been fighting this alone for many years...
This blog is a lifeline so take care with it...
it is not in our interests for it to be removed so don't play into their hands...
In solidarity and gratitude for all that you do.

I disagree, Aphra.
Naming and shaming is the only thing these institutions understand. Let them TRY and close down the blog. See how far they get.
They may threaten, but they don't have the balls to follow through.
And yes, I speak out against bullying institutions. Loudly and clearly.
