The bullying of academics follows a pattern of horrendous, Orwellian elimination rituals, often hidden from the public. Despite the anti-bullying policies (often token), bullying is rife across campuses, and the victims (targets) often pay a heavy price.

Deakin is a hotbed of bullying. My daily work life is hell. It all comes back to the culture created by vice chancellor Jane den Hollander. She has hired senior staff thugs to implement a culture of micro management and control. What a shit hole low rank university. The government should institute a commission of enquiry into the academic sector. The damage done to people would be horrific.
Thanks for bringing into light Do not know if you have moved out of this hell. My lucky colleagues moved out, some of us are struck in day to day cruel churning. Need public and Govt support to expose this cruelty.

I work there now. and am too scared to comment. A union representative told me that the University tracks activity on University computers.
Thanks for bringing into light
